I came out of work and it was gone. It was locked up real tight. I hate thieves. Go buy your own stuff. Luckily they couldn't get the bike. Where's Batman when you need him?

Hi, I'm repairing a two wheel bandsaw and need a top wheel for it. OEM spares are very expensive (£100+, ~$200) so I was wondering if a 12" bicycle wheel could be used? It only needs to take the pressure of the blade and spin round when required, after all. I can easily rig up a surface for the blade to ride on. It's a small bandsaw and I only really use 1/4" blades so I don...

I need some SS wheels for a road bike. I can get Mavic CPX22 rims on Formula fixed/free hubs for about $165. I this good? Is there something better for the same price? I don’t need anything fancy. I just only have about $200 for wheels. And I need them to hold up the bike and my 200 pounds. Is the spacing on all rear wheels the same? Not the width which is 120mm on my bike but I mean where ...

Hi all, Below I provide a write-up of my Ohlins installation. All in all, it was a pretty easy job, just quite time consuming. Various sources provide estimates of ~4-6 hrs and I would say that that is probably accurate from the MOMMENT you start stuff specifically relevant to the shock and not anything else (i.e., add more time if you need to take off side case brackets, rear racks, etc.; also...

Just before I lost my seat cowl last saturday, I was on the way home, going on the road Clevedon - Kawakawa (which ended up being closed just before the Kawakawa bay), when some dude on a red CBR600 RR did a stupid thing. As I was approaching a 50 km corner at a fairly high rate of speed, I just barely noticed some other bike in my back mirror. As i started turning in, Mr. red CBR started to ...

Outfitting for Cycle Oregon- Thanks Thanks to Freddy and Buck at Easy Racers. When I closed my garage door on my FFM body sock scaffold last week, crushing it like a bug, Freddy sent me the new and improved Easy Racers scaffold. Freddy and Buck also sent me a new frame bag and a new double leg kick stand. The stuff all arrived today, Freddy and Buck. Awesome! I must admit, ...

Hi all, I spent the day riding with a buddy who has a Giant Carbon Hard Tail (I don’t know the model, sorry). I was on my Trek EX7 FS and we took turns following one another on a twisty single track. As I followed him, I got the chance to see how his bike handled obstacles vs how mine handled them a moment later. When we switched lead positions, my buddy could then watch how my bike ...
