That would likely mean Pitt leaves the Big East to join the Big Ten(12) The MWC would add Boise, and perhaps Fresno St and Houston to make 12 so it could have CCG When the BCS re-evaluates which conferences are "BCS" conferences in 2013, the revamped MWC will surely be elevated to BCS status, as it would then be as strong or stronger than several existing BCS conferences. Would the Big East, ...

Pac 10 getting embarrassed, SEC on the decline, ACC going nowhere fast, and the Big Ten is as strong as ever. Steady pimpin' #1 in revenue, #1 in fanbase size, #1 in prestige.

I'm not a conference homer and I'm not a member of Team Big Ten eithe, but with all the heat the Big Ten has taken over the years for their performance in the bowl games, I feel this is a fair question to ask. Realistically, I can see the Big Ten going 3-4 OR 4-3 in bowl games. Will this end up being better than the Pac 10's bowl record?

I want to put a slight twist to this. I'm only going to ask for the teams that you think will get byes in the Big Ten tourney. With the non conference games either telling us nothing (aka Ohio State) or telling us a lot (aka Northwestern), I think there will be major shake ups this year. I guess I'm saying that not only is the Big Ten down this year, it also appears to be inconsistent. So it ...

I'm sure you guys have seen/read of the Big Ten possibly wanted to expand. My question is "what teams do you think would be a good fit?" I've read a couple articles and blogs on the net that say Mizzou would be a good choice. Personally I would hate that as I despise the Big Ten and we would lose out on our rivalries already with Kansas, Nebraska, etc.

Pretty good column by Lee Barfknecht in today's (Saturday) Omaha World Herald: http://www.omaha.com/article/20091225/SPORTS/71225 9910 Now that the first overheated blast of speculation on the Big Tens possible expansion has begun to dissipate, lets try a more sober discussion of the issue. First, a few facts: 1) The main rule in a deal like this now that Notre Dame has ...

How about this topic for a little Holiday discussion: Big Ten Expansion. My friends and I have been kicking this around since the announcement that the Big Ten was going to seriously explore expansion. Should they add a team? Who should it be? What should the divisions look like? Link to full story
