Hello everyone about a month ago I was put on metoprolol 25 milligrams for sinus tachycardia. I've been taking one twice a day. It has really helped lower my pulse and blood pressure but with it comes really bad side effects. For some reason I think it has hurt my thinking and short term memory. I just don't think and feel the same as I used to. I also feel very dizzy (especially while driving) ...

I just went to my dr. for my annual physical. He is fairly new. since my Insurance has been changed I had to change drs. My previous Dr whom i have been going to for many years had me taking Linsinipril and 100mg. topral for my HBP. It was under control for some time but the side effects of taking toprol were pretty bad. I also suffer from depression and my psychiatrist recently changed my meds ...

Last night I had my first episode of SVT ever with a HR in the 170's. I was very symptomatic and went right to the ER (I work in ICU). My heart rate continues to be averaging 120's still, although I'm not symptomatic. So I followed up with my regular doc today, he's great. Just had labs drawn for thyroid and other stuff to rule out infection ( i had a low grade temp today in his ...

Hi everyone! I want to say first off that I thank you for all of your responses to my previous few questions and I will appreciate any insight for this one as well. I was hypo last year after the birth of my first daughter, and hyper now after the birth of my second daughter. I wish I could be hypo again since, for me, the hyper symptoms are much harder to cope with. I go in for my ...

Or maybe you weren't affected. I guess every medication is different, but always wondered if it's the tablet's fault or not! Anyway would love to hear people's experiences on them. ...

Do you know or have you heard of anyone using a beta blocker to help calm their nerves while golfing? I suppose this would be deemed as an illegal enhancement agent? I know a few at my course that use them, however they use Millerlight or Budlight as their preferred beta blocker :o) Too many of those puppies however can defeat the purpose.

I've been on beta blockers while breastfeeding and my understanding was that they were safe. No issues with two of my kids that I nursed while taking them.

Maybe he is not insured. It would be cheaper to get it himself then. On a side-note, I have experienced an anti-depressant effect of B-agonists after getting tolerance to the other side effects.
