Good news on Bergesen By Steve Melewski on December 11, 2009 O's pitcher Brad Bergesen is no longer worried about his left leg injury. In fact, he now pronounces himself completely healed as he gets ready for the 2010 season. "Everything is good. It finally feels 100 percent. It took awhile, about three months it turned out, until I felt this way. I've been working out now doing my normal ...

- Source Quote: "I'm 100 percent, I'm running now. Just in the last two weeks I've been doing the running progression program. But for the last five weeks I've been doing all the other workouts, cardio and everything getting ready for the season," the 24-year-old Bergesen said Wednesday during the O's annual Christmas party for kids. He also ...

Hopefully, they're not just being overly optimistic. Quote: I exchanged e-mails with Orioles manager Dave Trembley, and not to tease him about Notre Dame. He attended Saturday's Family FanFest in Sarasota, Fla., and had the opportunity to check on Nolan Reimold, Brad Bergesen and Adam Jones. Here are the updates that he provided: Reimold - The ...

Not that it means much now, but the Orioles have removed Koji Uehara, Brad Bergesen and Adam Jones from the 60-day DL. http://tsn.ca/mlb/transactions/ The Orioles announced Thursday that they won't exercise third baseman Melvin Mora's $8 million option for the 2010 season, an expected move that will likely end the tenure of one of their most productive and popular players over the ...

I know it's an odd time to ask this question, but can anyone tell me how Bergesen and Patton are recovering from their injuries? I remember watching the game live when Bergesen got nailed in the shin by that liner and thinking, "dammit." Is is by far the best young pitcher I've seen for us in a long time. He has such great velocity, movement, and command. I have high hopes for him. Troy ...

Quote: Nearly two months since his last pitch of a promising rookie season was lined off his left shin, Brad Bergesen still hasn't been able to run. He no longer walks with a limp, but on certain days when he spends a lot of time on his feet, he feels some minor soreness in his leg. "I know the difference between pain and injury," Bergesen said in a phone ...

From Roch . Quote: So he'll be ready for spring training? "Absolutely," he said. "Here we are, late November, and I'm running with no problems for five minutes at a pretty decent pace, so I don't think I'll have any problem getting to 20 minutes by the end of December or early January. The leg appears to be doing much better and...

We've discussed adding Jon Garland, Joel Pineiro or Jason Marquis to the starting rotation. If we are trading Tillman or Bergesen in a deal for a 1B which would we prefer to add. Ken Rosenthal just Twittered about 15 minutes ago the following; Ken_Rosenthal -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Nats making strong run at Garland. Wants 3 yrs. ...

My plan: Sign Erik Bedard to a 1/5 contract with a club option for 2011. Sign Matt Holliday to a 5/90 deal. Trade Luke Scott and Wilfredo Perez to Detroit for Nate Robertson and Ryan Strieby. Trade Jason Berken to Colorado for Chris Nelson. Lineup: 2B - Roberts RF - Markakis C - Wieters LF - Holliday CF - Jones DH - Reimold 1B - Wigginton (until Snyder or Strieby are ready) 3B - ...
