I just now read that you are not supposed to use benzoyl peroxide products while pregnant. I have used it, though only about 4 or 5 times total--and sparingly at that. I'm worried now. Ladies, how to know if one should use Benzoyl Peroxide OR Salicylic Acid to treat her acne? I have terrible acne and I am considering using Stridex, but not sure if I should use the rex box (salicylic acid) or the Power Pads box ? Your recommendations are appreciated.

I've been using benzoyl peroxide for my skin problems, because I kept hearing about how amazing it was. Then I read that it can CAUSE acne scars! Is this true? Why would I trade acne for acne scars? Scars are forever, acne isn't (in most cases). Are there any ways to avoid this from happening?

it was the only thing that actually kept my face clear.. i've been using neutrogena oil free redness soothing cleanser and it contains 2% SA. it's nice but i don't think its strong enough for moderate/inflammatory acne. what kind of moisturizer should i use with bp to calm down the redness?

Any suggestions? I've broken out. heres my routine.. Night: In the shower i use neutregena pink grapefruit body clear body wash. After that i put Clean & Clear maximum strength persa-gel 10 (10% benzoyl peroxide acne medication), and then i put on gold bond body powder, put a big (cotton) shirt on and go to bed. and thats all i do.. i do that every night. i dont know what to do.. anyone ...

Hi, Question about the reg- can I use moisturizer before I apply benzoyl peroxide, or would that deem the BP futile? Not quite sure if the order I use BP/moist. is extremely rigid under the regimen. Thanks, Michelle

I'm having really bad acne now and NOTHING seems to help. I heard that you aren't supposed to use any acne products with Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid in them but I've been using products that contain them, what is your opinion on this and what do you use to help acne. Thanks.

i get really bad break outs on my forehead and only on my forehead. recently i noticed it starts when im about to get my period. while i realize this could be hormonal and i have no control over it is there ANYTHING i can do??? benzoyl peroxide doesnt work!
