How come nobody has really been talking about re-signing Belliard for 2b? I mean, he was pretty solid for us when he came on board and if the team can afford him then why not bring him back?

Very similar stats last year. Castillo with higher ba, obp, less so, more steals. Hudson with higher slugging, rbi, but faded down the stretch and was benched for Belliard. Fielding goes to gold glover Hudson but Castillo also prior gold glover and wasn't bad last year (if we can forgive the yankee dropped fly ball).
