Written by David Eddings, I think they're brilliant. Not as in depth as, for example, LOTR, but they makes up for that with humour and deep, memorable characters. It's an injustice that books like Eragon get made into films whilst the Belgariad and Mallorean are ignored. Anyone else in the Flood ever read these series'?

I am in the production of a PDF for Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Edition for David Eddings' The Belgariad. I was wondering, are there any websites where freelancers can sell PDF rpgs? Any suggestions would be great! Xcarthan

Anyone read The Belgariad and The Malloreon, and Belgarath the Sorcerer, and Polgara the Sorceress, by David and Leigh Eddings? For those who haven't, think Kings and castles and wizards (called sorcerers in these books) and Gods who once walked the earth. Mrs Frog and I like this genre of fiction and we were thinking, if these tales were brought to life on the screen (like Lord Of ...

A new series to read! I'm a slow reader as i tend to have breaks between series. The belgariad got me hooked on the genre when i was younger, here's a rough list of what i've read: The Belgariad - David Eddings The Riftwar Saga - Raymond E. Feist The Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan The Sword of Truth Series - Terry Goodkind The Farseer Trilogy - Robin Hobb A Song of Ice and ...

Curious question for those who have read his work. I received a couple of his books as gifts, although I don't think the person realized that they were each within a separate series. What he completed before his passing: The Belgariad series The Malloreon series The Elenium series The Tamuli series The Dreamers series Now what I have read were Guardians of the West...

I know a lot of people haven't heard about these books cause they're so old, but ya'll should really look into them. I've finished The Belgariad and Mallorean series, and now I'm onto The Elenium.

Nice to see some folks mentioning Robin Hobb , she's a fantastic author. I've read all the books from the Farseer Trilogy to the Tawny Man series right through to the Liveship Traders. I liked the Farseer trilogy more so due to the animal interactions, although Liveship Traders is fantastic and the pace is better than Farseer Trilogy. The Draenai series of books from David Gemmel. ...

The Belgariad was good, but best for younger readers. Best series I ever read, and very character driven, Robin Hobb's books. Assassin's Apprentice Royal Assassin Assassin's Quest Fool's Errand Golden Fool and the best---Fool's Fate. Don't read them if you like all happiness and sweet---Robin Hobb puts her characters through the mill, and wrings them dry, and leaves the reader in tears.

I have a couple, mostly Fantasy and Sci Fi. I like the Meredith Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton; Ender series by Orson Scott Card; The Mayfair Chronicles by Anne Rice; and the House of Night series by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast (this is a young adult series so it's a little juvenile but still good!). I also forgot to mention David Eddings the Belgariad & Mallorean series.

Beats out the belgariad by a little, third going to an obscure book nobody knows. "How do we eat? Why do we eat? Where shall we have lunch?" Epic. I remember enjoying the Little House books - they are timeless. The Phantom Toll Booth. Hey - remember Twist a Plot books? Those were such fun. Perfect for the impatient and fickle youth... Love Potter and Twilight - ALL S.E. Hinton. The Terry Pratchett stuff-- are we really calling them YA? Hmmm... I guess I can see that. Hat full of Sky and Wee Free Men especially. David Eddings - ...
