There is no scientific data on sunspots before the 1850's. It's rather difficult to assume how they effected the climate a thousand years ago, in fact, it's would be totally unscientific. I wish I understood what red flags there might be before something like this happens. They had family, friends and neighbors who cared. Many people don't have all that and we can better understand despair. Can't imagine what happened here. SO sad.

One solution which is recommended for all blogs is turning on the webmaster supervision option because in that case, you would be checking out all posts before enabling them as visible comments on your pages. Besides, do not forget this fact that maintaining blogs is always a time-consuming job.
