So, I just got to Flashes Before Your Eyes in my rewatch and I got kinda confused(even though I've seen it many times.) When Desmond was back in the real world and he could remember things that were gonna happen, was all that real or was that just a dream after the hatch imploded? Or something else?

This also brings up the related question - If Desmond's flashes are real and he is 'the one' who can change things. Then in Catch 22 - would the parachutist (or however you spell that) have been Penny instead of Naomi if Desmond had not saved Charlie from Rousseau's arrow trap?

I just rewatched it as well. I was kinda confused why Desmond looks to the right, but the painting is on the left. I assume it was done to confuse people. Or maybe it was a sign of time being tampered with. Either way, it works. As for Ms. Hawking, I don't know what her deal is. I guess she always knew what happened, and that is why she knew what to tell Des in his rip through time.
