Any recommendations on patterns for a twin size bedspread? DD has moved into a "big girl" bed and is starting to outgrow some of her baby blankets. I'd like to crochet a twin size blanket for her room but am lacking inspiration. I've gone through my pattern books and looked a little on-line, just not finding anything that looks like it would be easy and fun to make for something that big. ...

Hi everyone, I'm having a real tough time with this bedspread. I'm thinking its 19th century & French (I got it with other 19th century textiles that I have ID'ed). Its a bedspread & 2 Panels done in a crisp silk (I believe). The print is quite amazing and the pattern is what leads me to believe it is French. Any input will really help as I am looking forward to information on ...

Hi everyone! I want to crochet a bedspread for a twin size bed to give as a gift. I have used Red Heart Classic and also Super Saver in the past for bedspreads, but I was not happy with the end results. What kind of yarn do you recommend? Thanks!

We went a few months ago to an auction and I saw a peacock chenille bedspread. They are very hard to find so I bid on it. I won it. It is in good condition but its not a white as I would like it. Should I hand wash it with a little vinegar and oxy-clean or have it dry cleaned? I think that it was stored for a long time.

The next morning Caitlyn's POV Last night was so awesome. We made love for hours before falling asleep. I woke up this morning twisted in his embrace. It would have been nice if it wasn't for his cell phone waking me up. He tried ignoring it, pulling the bedspread over our heads to muffle out the sound. Whoever it was kept calling back. I finally ...

We are looking for a new comforter set/bedspread for our master bedroom. After years of dark comforters, I find myself drawn to something a little lighter and softer, like a matelasse coverlet. Beyond that, I'm not sure exactly the look I am going for. So - if you have used matelasse in any of your bedrooms, I would really love to see pictures. Thanks!

sorry if this is a stupid question but what do you call those "things" that go at the foot of the bed on top of the bedspread. someone posted the name a while ago and said they use them in hotels. It's not a blanket or throw or a full length cover, it's the decorative "thingy" that sits across the end of the bed and sometimes drapes down the end of the bed a bit. I've been trying to google them ...

What color is your bedspread or comforter? How often do you change your sheets? What side of the bed do you sleep on? What sized mattress do you have? King, Queen, Full? Do you have a mirror in your bedroom?

My friend has a recently turned 9 month old daughter. The other day she posted pictures on her Myspace page, of a toddler bed she'd bought her DD for Christmas, complete with a satin bedspread and pillow. It seems unsafe to me, but I'm not sure if I should say anything or just leave well enough alone, and chalk it up to a difference in parenting styles. WWYD?
