Sponsored Links Recently I've delved back into Halo 3 multiplayer, but I'm quickly reminded of what drove me away in the first place, which was the stagnant matchmaking system that threw the same matches with the same gamestyles over and over again. What I'm really into is really random and whacky matches, like having everyone be invisible with a shotgun or insta-kill ...

If you know of any unusual landmarks in your part of the world, show us what you've got. You can list landmarks that are political or religious in nature, or just landmarks that you find interesting. This is a strange one, it's called Carhenge in Nebraska. It's a replica of Stonehenge, except it's made out of cars. Carhenge

Apparently the Cantonese Chinese community already knows about this place, still under the radar for most folks. It's located inside a nondescript strip mall, and you couldn't tell from the inside that the head chef Boson Yum (and possibly the only chef) has an extremely impressive resume, with experience that includes -Grand Hyatt Hotel Hong Kong - Fook Yuen (Millbrae) - HK Flower Lounge (...

Off the beaten path - tips in Eastern Turkey I have 5 weeks or so to explore some remote areas of eastern Turkey in April / May 2010. I spent some time in the region back in 1987-88 (!) when I caught some of the major sites including Nemrut Dagi, Urfa, Van, Mardin, ...

What is your favorite challenging music and describe it a little bit so maybe we will be inspired to hear something new. I'll start: Harry Partch, American composer of microtonal percussion music that sounds at times almost like Gamelan music. Built his own instruments out of old airplane fuselages among other things, spent time as a hobo. Colon Nancarrow impossibly fast and complicated ...

I am disturbed, ladies and gentlemen (who am I kidding here, only gentlemen are gonna read this). Deeply disturbed. I have traveled to a place that would drive even the Great Lord Cthulhu insane. But I escaped, I found my way back to you all, and here is my tale of woe. Be warned, this is not a tale for the faint of heart, or pussies like KTM. So there I was, picnic basket in one hand, crimson...

The OP is a little confusing because it mentions Cartagena and Tayrona, which are about as ON the beaten path as you can get. Fully agreed with drinksouthpaw that it's not too difficult to get to Cabo de la Vela, which is definitely off the beaten path, beautiful and safe. I stayed at La Langosta, which is probably one of the cheapest in "town" and it shows...but it wasn't too bad. It's possible ...
