we are back to playing 3 against 5 again, 8 if you count the zebras (sometimes). Time for a new experiment: C-Bud and Landry to replace Battier and Hayers (Scola would move to center). This will weaken our bench, but our long scoring droughts will be largely over. To continue with what is no longer working (teams have really figured us out), is insanity.

No. 2: Shane Battier, small forward, Duke. No surprise here.Battier was good before and after the passing of the millenium; he ledthe Blue Devils to a national runner-up in 1999 and a national title in2001, when he swept the national player of the year awards. (Battierhas become universally recognized as underrated in the NBA, but therewas no such trend in college.) In four years, Battier ...

"F Shane Battier hit two 3-pointers to push his streak of games with at least one trey to 27 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NBA. Battier matched Kenny Smith for the second-longest steak in franchise history. Luther Head holds the Rockets' record with a streak of 37 games. Dana Barros holds the NBA record with a streak of 89 games with at least one 3-pointer."...

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/po...day-bullets- 163 quote: Remember Michael Lewis' famous cover story about Shane Battier? It was huge in my world. People talk about it all the time. It was meaningful peek into a new way of assessing players. Today, two pieces of insight: Chris Ballard, in a podcast, says that none of Battier's teammates knew about that article. Just wasn't a big ...

Oh hai, I'm Monta Ellis. I'm guarded by a great defender in Shane Battier and I attempted: 27 shots. Making 9 of them. Also, I got blocked 7 times, lol. Oh btw, with a second left in the game, I had the chance to win the game for my team and I got called for a travel, because I'm such a baller. I'm sorry did I mention I had 9 turnovers? Oh, well, I did

you NEVER seen dunk.....Now I'm sure that they can but, I don't recall ever seeing Luis Scola, Shane Battier, Chuck Hayes or Aaron Brooks dunking in a game....Like I said thought I'm sure they can and I might have missed it!

that would have been the top play of the night had Shane Battier made that dunk. everything else was in place. what surprised me most is the fact that the starters didnt play much in the fourth quarter. i dont think aaron even played at all in the fourth. Im sure adelman is happy about that too. he was probably gonna use the starters only if the clippers were to come back with a strong start in...

I was having a discussion about building a team with a reasonable amount of talent to win a title (not pairing Lebron and Kobe, etc.) Where does this team finish... PG: Mario Chalmers SG: Dwyane Wade SF: Shane Battier PF: Chris Bosh C: Kendrick Perkins 6: Dahntay Jones 7: Carl Landry 8: Earl Watson 9: Jason Kapono 10: Fabricio Oberto Coach: Greg Poppovich, team plays Spurs style ball
