Up for sale is a Pork Pie bass drum in Red Sparkle wrap (very tasteful sparkle, I must say). The size of the drum is 18x24 and of course, it is a maple shell. Moving from the lurker to participant... Are there any worthwhile shell packs under $700 with a 20" bass drum? I was going to go with the Catalina Club Jazz, because I was just practicing on my own. But I have started playing with an indie/pop band, and I think I lead a little more bass drum. Anything used and in quality condition I could find in that price range?

It's a 24" virgin bass drum. Stock heads. Includes pedal and pillow. Black with red hardware. What to do with it? My parents won't let me use craigslist or ebay... Also, do you think it's better or worse than a Pearl Export bass drum with a Super-Kick II?

What do you use to protect your wood bass drum hoop from getting all chewed up by the bass pedal clamp? Quick answers would be most appreciated!

I'm thinking about getting black sparkle hoops for my bass on my white sparkle kit. What do you guys think?
