Does anyone know if there's a standard height electrical outlets must be above the floor in basements? The reason I ask is I just bought a new home, (new construction) the basement is unfinished and the only 2 wall mounted outlets in the basement are about 40" above the floor. Anyone know of any neighborhoods with basements - not just the random one here or there, but somewhat regular to the area. If any such neighborhood exists, what are the age of the homes? Was there a specific area that had them for a certain reason? Up north you see them quite frequently but not very much here.
