I had never seen banding on my camera until tonight. I've shot for years with a D2x, and never saw it. Below is a D700 example (nothing exceptional compositionally) - very extreme conditions for a camera, but I don't think the D2x would exhibit this level of banding (I don't have it with me tonight or I'd try to do a similar shot..though D2x doesn't have 6400 ISO..heh). What are your thoughts - ...

Major flaw with Epson Stylus Pro 9900 causes banding in BLACK only First of all, apologies for my bad English. I am from behind the dikes, you see. Problem: Clear banding (parallel with headmovement) in black only. This is not caused by a headstrike or deflected nozzles. As you can see: The banding is not nozzle related. Difficult to believe this is software related since the banding is ...

I am thinking of upgrading my D200 to the D300s. I am very happy with my D200, but I like the Idea of 100% viewfinder view, better high ISO performance and better colour. The only thing I dislike about my D200 is its occasional tendency to produce light banding on the sensor when shooting very sharp high contrast lights or against a very bright background. A grid pattern of light, ...

Prompted by the links on this website, I checked out my immediate neighbours' council tax banding and discovered they were all band D while we were band F. I called the Council (Ealing) and a week later a VOA valuer wrote to arrange to make an inspection. He visted 3 days later. It took him all of 5 minutes. He agreed that we should be re-banded and wrote confirming this after a week or so. I ...

I've been very pleased with my Dell 2405 since I bought it almost 5 years ago, but one thing that always bugged me was fine banding on greyscale gradients.. well.. any gradient really. I just assumed this was the way it was, and forgot about it. However, after doing some research I've come across something disturbing. I saw LOTS of forum posts regarding the new Dell U2410 also showing ...

Banding this week permalink Hi, my wife and I have both been approved for banding... all of our tests and classes are complete, and we are now on our pre-op diet. Surgery is on Dec. 19th for both of us... excited and nervous at the same time (I've never had any kind of surgery before)! Doodle

I know that typically this isn't a good practice because of the movement of wood. I'm making a Sudoku board for my mom (a Rockler design). I tried using the Rockler walnut ply, but the tear out was terrible because the veneer was so thin. So I have used solid walnut. The dimensions are 5/8" thick and 9 3/8" x 9 3/8". My question is this small enough, and possibly not too thick, to edge band ...

I have a V750 that is scanning my medium format negative film with vertical streaks down the side. It is definitely a problem with the scanner (not the film), and the streaks appear with varying intensity - sometimes they are hardly noticeable; sometimes they are very obvious. I have sent it away (twice) to Epson to be repaired as it is still under an extended warranty. The first time they ...

This photo was shot w/ a e-420/50mm macro. 1/120th @ f/6.3 Iso 100. I would think that this should be black, not like this. I took it to the camera store and they were baffled. It'll do it w/ noise reduction on and off and the noise filter set either off, low, standard or high. What I've noticed is that the banding is noticeable under any condition really if the ...

Alright guys and gals, Earlier I posted a reply on a thread of downers and I am feeling energetic to start banding people together to get WAR the positive attention it deserves (considering its miles better than some pretty horrible mmo's) so here was my post on this. "Meh, I tried to brighten up the mood and make people look at the positives of the game, im sure WAR isnt going to attract ...

Hi, I've been reading posts on here for the past couple of months, as I have prepared for my own banding surgery... just decided to register today, so I could post. My wife and I are getting banded on the same day (Dec. 19th), and are currently on the pre-op diet. Learning how to eat all over again. We have already attended an information seminar and a nutrition class, so a lot of my ...
