Hi, I only surface here once in a while - usually when I have some extra time off from work and more time to experiment. Anyway, four day weekend this week so I'm baking bread. I don't think I've ever baked bread - other than the bread machine - since I helped my mom and grandmother when I was a kid. I don't have the latest bread making KA mixer (still have my mom's old Sunbeam mixmaster) so ...

Hello, I was in a local antique shop and saw a large cabinet with slide out drawer/shelves. I have not been able to locate one online or find out any information on it. It may have a name that I am not familiar with. It is very large, about 7' tall, about 4 1/2-5' wide and approx 4' deep. had multiple short sided drawers and shelves (2 rows, one on right side, one on left) that slide out and ...

I have a cookie recipe that I'm experimenting with. I changed it by adding a banana and nuts for more flavor. What ingredient(s) should I increase, other than FLOUR, to prevent it from spreading out too much and becoming flat?

My Tilapia Fish Farm at Oldmills of Elgin uses bakers waste and brewers yeast as a food, I fancy putting in some greenery, and am looking at growing indigenous duckweed as a supplement. Is there a better, nutritious species that grows quickly in the 10 degree C water of the watermill waterways.

Just came across this while looking on the KA website for bread making classes. Did anyone know about this? I think it's pretty cool. Since I am a novice bread maker, I love that there is someone I can call with random quesitons while I'm mid-process! ** The Bakers’ Hotline Need help with a substitution or pan size? Trying to recreate a long-lost family recipe? Can’t get your yeast ...

OK, so given all the Doctors we have seen to date, there are bound to be a few that bear a resemblance to people you see out and about. This evening I saw Matt Smith, with Tom Bakers hair and scarf. What versions have others seen?
