Bagpipes and chords My grandfather plays the bagpipes as do I and we wanted to have a jam with guitar and pipes. The bagpipes themselves have pretty much no music theory involved so I have no idea what key they are in. What chords or key would be best to use with it?? Thanks

OK, so was watching The Mentalist tonight and at the end they mentioned bagpipes, and maybe even "Amazing Grace." Well at least that's most of what I think about after March 17th....but that's a different story. Anyhow, went looking for it and found something I thought I should share with much respect: YouTube- FDNY 343 tribute YouTube- FDNY 343 tribute...

There's a bagpiper outside of my house right now, for some reason. I love the sound of bagpipes! Occasionally the church up the street from me has a bagpiper outside for funerals, and the sadness of the music always makes me stop to listen. These bagpipes today sound a little more jovial. So -- bagpipes, do you love them or not? Ashley.

When I first saw the title on this story and the person's name who sent it to me, my first reaction was, Quid nunc or what now old brown cow? The story is truly touching and I am happy to have not deleted it. I can remember my Swedish grandmother cursing my Scottish grandfather every time 'the pipes' were heard in the house. "Herre Gud! Enough with that Scottish nonesense! Sounds like a thousand dying felines!" I, for one, find the sound to be both powerful and sublime and I always stop and envision Braveheart battle scenes whenever the sweet sound of the pipes reacheth mine ear (which is hardly ...

The arrangement of "Amazing Grace" at the end of TWOK, does anyone know where I could find that? I *love* that so much, not the bagpipes as much as the music when it swells as Spock's coffin is shot towards Genesis. Please help a crazy musician out with her obsession! "Fascinating!"

Is anyone "into" Irish music that could recommend a particularly great CD. The recipient does like bagpipes; but the spouse requested "no bagpipe music". I have no idea and would welcome any suggestions. Thanks much.

This **** is still heat to me on some real ****. Dr. Dre's 3rd best produced album easily for me. The beats are just too amazing and Eminem's worldplay is too cunning. I'll be bumping this album for years...unlike some of his others Stay Wide Awake, Deja vu, Bagpipes, Same Song and Dance, Medicine Ball, and My Darling still give me the face when i hear them. Eminem put himself in my ...

I went out yesterday, opening day for Christmas Town. Even with Italy closed, there is a lot to see and do! I went to one show, Rejoice, in the Abbey Stone Theatre, which was very good. There are live entertainments on outdoor stages - bagpipes in Scotland , carolers in England, accordian/singer in New France. The line for the penguins at the Royal Palace Theatre was very ...
