I think that this bag was in the co-op basement when they had the flood and they didn't realize that it has moisture in it. When we bring the feed home, we leave it in the bag and put it in a metal garbage can that is lined with a plastic garbage bag, so I know the feed did not get wet here. I don't think it's parasites. Looks more to me like simple gill curl. The reasons for gill curl aren't very specific, but it usually happens because of water quality issues. Unfortunately, the only confirmed solution I've read/seen is an operations to snip away the curl area. I could be wrong so please dun take my ramblings too seriously.
