Hello, I have a 2000 v6 blazer modified to run on LPG (like a kitchen stove...). The LPG system starts in petrol and then switch to LPG. It has problems running in petrol and I was trying to start it directly in LPG and got a backfire, the air intake hat was blown up , and the air filter wasn't broken, just a little bumped. The throttle blade is ok. The MAF seems to be ok. I repaired the ...

I have an 86 trooper, 2.3L, that sounds like it almost wants to backfire when shifting. It is more of a put-put then a backfire but its new and driving me nuts. Could an air leak between the manifold and the exhaust cause this?

Every once in a while (around every 2 weeks), I turn on my 09 Jetta TDI and it starts without any problems. About half a second after the engine starts, I hear what sounds like a backfire in the engine. It only does it when the engine is cold. This is my first diesel so I don't know if this is common. Is it bad? Should I take it to VW?

QUESTION: I have a 1990 Chevy Astro Van with a 4.1 l motor. I parked the van in January of 2008. After three weeks of Michigan winter I tried to start the van but it would only backfire through the intake and exhaust. I assumed a timing problem. Once summer came I checked the timing chain. It was tight enough and had not jumped a tooth. I have adjusted the timing to no avail. I let the van set ...

Yes it could backfire and dc could get a low score. And perhaps it would mean dc got a top score. The larger issue is why any test (including ERBs) is given to a 4 year old? If prepping makes a difference, in ERB or OLSAT, there's something wrong with the test, not with the people who "prep". Frankly, I suspect that any 4 year old who can be taught to perform well on a test like that can ...
