I have databases totalling nearly 30 gigs of data, and one access database can barely hold one year of data. Therefore, I have databases by year, Invoices_2009, Invoices_2008, etc. Is there any PC software available which can create access 2007 readable databases larger than 2 Gigs with multiple tables, which I can store on my terabyte esata drive? I tried MySQL, but couldn't get it to...

I'm implementing a cube with more fact table. During the processing I have an error related to the access to the back-end db, association with dimensions aren't enough, one or more column values are truncated ... I have controlled the usage dimension with no results. Any ideas to me to solve this issue? Thanks

I have a back-end database for my data only. Is there a way to back it up directly from my front-end db in Access 2007? I see no commands that I would interpret as such. I'm trying to avoid closing one db and open the back-end to back it up. Thanks, James .  ...

People have responded to your question, and have said to get a professional in to do it for you.. The simple fact that you're trying to use Access to handle such a large volume of data is a joke.. And furthermore, why is a Finance Manager (no offence to you) trying to build a database for your company.. If your company is willing to just give you another server, why wouldn't they invest ...

Years back I produced a web based reporting system that ran on Sybase initially but would call reporting stored procs on a whole bunch of other database servers (SQL Server, Sybase and Oracle if I remember correctly). The front end looked the same to the user so they weren't aware they were working on a different db. Each database had the same set of stored procs that could be called and could be...
