Does anyone know of a source for a 20-25 year fixed rate mortgage for a BTL property where the loan would be 30-40% of the value? What interest rate would you expect to pay on such a loan? Any information given will be much appreciated.

This guy Robert Rapier posted a detailed blog entry about his tour of Choren's BTL plant in germany which I am posting here in its entirety. (Rapier's company Merica recently acquired Shell's stake in Choren.) Choren is doing a lot of what Rentech is doing, except they use Cobalt catalyst for their Fischer-Tropsch. Also, they're more involved than Rentech in sourcing farmed biomass. (Choren ...

Hi there, I managed to get an agreement in principle on a BTL property. Here are some details: property value: £150k, 25%deposit, borrowing £112500 over 25 years. The question is: I haven't got the deposit, so I was willing to get a secured loan on the mortgaged property I live. Based on your experiences, would that work? Regards

Properties? Best investment ever. His worst business decision? Selling one of his houses. It went up in value later. How many times have I heard that particular regret from celebs? http://www.telegraph...mpaign=pf0312am This post has been edited by juvenal : Yesterday, 12:31 PM

Dad said that when you invest in property, you are setting up a future for your children. When you are young you don't really understand that, but it's true. Yep. Some future. More personal debt than pretty much anywhere else in the world. The children of Britain have a far brighter future than their european counterparts due to our sucessful property owning democracy. If only these ...

Hello all, Is my memory failing me, or a few years did someone have an online CGT calculator for BTL? I'm pretty out of touch now since the changes a couple of years ago. If the place has been a PPR at some point is there still an apportionment of the gain by time lived in/let? And does lettings relief still exist? I know taper relief has gone.

My friend has a 02 dodge dakota, I sold him my btl 15 and let him use my 3500D amp. He has 0gauge and a batcap 4000 in rear. no big 3 yet but when he bumps at high volume the bass cuts out but wil come back on like second or 2 later and it wil keep doing this if bass is real high. Anyone know why? Im having him go to autozone to have his alternator checked today. But any other ideas?

I recently read about '08 Pontet Canet on sale for $49.99/btl. Sadly, I slept through that offer. But it got me thinking that maybe (despite my carping to the contrary) there are great deals in Bordeaux out there. After the '05 campaign, I was so tired of the sell job that I entirely ignored '06-08 Bordeaux. Don't know if that was a mistake or not. It seems there are some value ...
