I'm just curious. I know it's different with everyone, but I am interested as to what you BTDT mom's total weight gain was compared to your baby's birth weight . If you feel like sharing, it would be greatly appreciated! I am a FTM, at 38 weeks + 5 days preggers with a boy. I have probably gained about 50 lbs with this pregnancy (so far!). At 35 weeks + 5 days, my sonogram estimated he was...

Hi All, Does anyone have, or have any BTDT Moma's have Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP). The itch and burning feeling is so awful. I see my doctor Saturday and will check what he recommends, but this is one time I really don't feel like riding out the discomfort and pain. My stomach is literally hot to the touch. I just want to dip myself in ice. Can anyone ...

A question for BTDT moms: I found myself daydreaming about my kid growing up and came upon on problem. How have you handled friends of your kid that, say, you absolutely could not stand? Did you limit the time your child spent with this friend? How did you handle it tactfully? I had a friend that my parents did not like at all while I was growing up, and they made no secret about it. The ...

just wondering if any of our BTDT mommies went into labor while they still had that feeling like it would never happen OR if they began to sense that it was close by a day or two before it happened.

BTDT Moms - how much regression should I expect with my 4 yr old? He is potty trained and only wears a pull up at night. But I am worried he's going to start having accidents again once baby is here. He already insists on playing "baby" where he wants me to give him a "bottle" then burp him. Is this normal?

Ok all you BTDT mommies...I'm a FTM and keep seeing that the hospital gives you these mesh type underwear for after delivery. I have a few questions about them: Why mesh? When I think of mesh, I think of kinda see through material. Why such a flimsy material? How uncomfortable are they? And is it really better to just bring your own that you don't mind getting rid of? Thanks!!!...

My lo has been waking several times at night and every BTDT mom I've talked to says I have to try CIO. If I don't know I will have to when's she's 2 or 3. Is this really the only way?!

So, I am jst wondering about the symptoms some of you other BTDT mom's have had before you went into labor. With my first DD I was sick (thought it was the flu) and had diarhea and everything about 2 days before she was born. With my 2nd I had no symptoms and my water broke. So, here I am with both of my children having been born @ 37 weeks and I jst got the worst bout of diarhea ever! Have ...

For the last 24 hours I've had severe lower back pain accompanyed by a very hard belly, which I am guessing are contractions. BH or otherwise I don't know. I've walked around, drank about 100 gallons of water and nothing has changed. The only thing that is making me think this isn't labor is that the 1. The pain hasn't gotten worse, 2. Being somewhat irregular. Experiencing this made me ...

When did your LO get their first cold or illness? My LO is 7 weeks old but I try to avoid taking him out because I don't feel like he has a good immune system yet. Any idea on when he will have a better one? I BF and FF. Thanks!

I am being induced tomorrow and have the fear of (TMI alert) pooping while pushing. Is there anything I can do to get cleaned out today so I don't have to worry as much tomorrow? I plan on not eating a whole lot today to help some. I don't want to worry about about pooping during delivery all through labor.

I am due on Sunday (in 5 days), but this is my first baby and I've been told I'll probably go late. However, I've also heard that right before you are supposed to give birth, the baby gets kinda quiet. Well, LO has been having a party in my belly! I keep singing "Don't be tardy for the party" to him/her to help motivate this one to come out and dance, but nothing is happening yet....hee hee...

My work just announced some major changes in our health insurance coverage for 2010, and I need some help deciding what is going to give us the most bang for our buck. I basically have two options - the HMO (with no deductible) or the HMO with a $2400 deductible through an HSA. Both plans have pretty much the exact same coverage limitations, copays, etc. The monthly difference between the two ...

Does anyone have any experience with a baby with food allergies? This is my third child, but my first to have allergies of any kind. I stopped breast feeding him when he was about 2 months old after 6 weeks of trying to eliminate enough foods from my diet to suit him. In the end, we decided it was best to put him on a consistent, allergy free formula that wouldn't change from day to day. ...

So I was wondering if I am just being irrational or not. When I had my son 3 years ago, everything went pretty much perfectly.. (in my eyes). I'm scared that something is gonna go wrong because I was so lucky with my first. And I'm not only scared that something bad will happen with the labor, but that this baby will be a "bad" baby. Not that that would make me love her any less. It's just that ...

Have any of you moms with multiple kids/ or "older moms" (I use that for lack of something better, as my doctor put it) noticed longer post partum bleeding? Liam will be a month old next week, and I'm still bleeding on and off. I've only had 4 days with no bleeding or spotting, and I thought I was done. I got sick with a bug & strep, and the day the illness hit me the bleeding came back full...

It's actually not a terrible thing. I had to go on insulin and was induced but as soon as the baby was born, it was gone. You'll have to watch what you eat, i.e., carbs and exercise really helps. I was pretty much on an atkins kind of diet after being diagnosed. It did keep my weight in check for the entire pregnancy, but I really, really missed the carbs. If you eat carbs, be sure to eat them in...
