When setting up BD80 and before watching movies I connected to network and updated firmware. Player came loaded with 1.5 and latest is 2.1. The process appeared to run smoothly, but I left the room for a few moments before it was finished, and when I returned the display was in "bluray" screen saver mode and the unit displayed something like "No Disc." I left it alone for a few more moments ...

Just wondering which one you guys would recommend. It seems like the BD370 has better features but the Panasonic BD80 has better picture quality. Does this mean the picture is REALLY THAT much better on the BD80? I feel like they should be pretty comparable because its blu ray but I'm new to blu ray shopping. The features on the LG are really appealing, but I'm considering both these equally...

just picked up the panny bd80 for 269.99 at FS! it looks like a pricing error that should be for the bd60. both flyer & web flyer indicates bd80, but if you click on web flyer for more info, it shows price at $399. i've been watching the bd60 price & it's lowest price so far is about $268 (visions). the panny 60 & 80 are highly rated as one of the best in pic quality passing all decoding ...

I am planning to upgrade my Panny BD30. Should I go for the BD80 or BDP 320. I am confused. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My only criteria is stellar PQ and AQ. I dont care about Netflix streaming etc etc.

I am having difficulty playing divx files on my panny dmp-bd80. the TV is the panny th-42pz85u, when i play a divx file the output changes to a 4:3 image with bars on the sides. The film is the right aspect ratio inside the 4:3 frame (1.85:1 or wider...), but i wish the have the divx file play in fullscreen with the proper aspect ratio with out having to zoom in. is there a setting i'm missing ...

I really feel stupid asking this question, but... I've got a panny 50v10, HD DVD player and the Avia I disk, TV connected to the SA8300hdc via HDMI. And, I plan to eventually get a panny BD80 blu-ray player. Here's what I am having trouble understanding. Let's say that I plan on using the TV's HDMI 1 input for TV and HDMI 2 for DVD and blu-ray (eventually), can I use my present DVD-HD...

Current Panasonic BLU-RAY player pricing info. Back in early November the Panasonic DMP-BD80K that has a current list price of $249.95 could be found at Amazon for under $160 with free shipping. Then slowly over a period of about 4 weeks the player has increased in price from online dealers. There are some dealers selling the player for around $400 now. The cheapest price a...

Speaking of sequels that you didn't want to know about... I am on the fence about getting Terminator Salvation this Tuesday as a blind buy. So what do you guys think? Is this movie any good at all? Our does it belong in this thread of bad sequels? . __________________...
