Hi guys-   I am thinking about picking up a BCF2000 as my primary control surface.  There is one review on Musician's Fiend that mentions it is not touch sensitive, and one that mentions something about not being full duplex unless it is properly updated.  So, I wanted to check with those that own one to see if it's simply a matter of upgrading the firmware, etc. in order to get that ...

Hey all I'm in serious need of some tactile feedback whilst using Reason & have decide to get myself a MIDI Controller. I'd love to get a Mackie Control Universal & C4 Pro, but I don't have the $$$. OK, so I'm thinking of two options: Behringer BCF2000 & BCR2000 or CME Bitstream 3X I figure either of those should give me loads of twiddly things to turn and slide. Price wise they ...

tropicalontour wrote: Squier makes a Precision Bass-alike that has two pickups (bridge and neck), instead of the usual split one that ordinary Precision Basses have. The extra bridge pickup is like the ones on the Jazz Bass. This particular bass guitar is both versatile and reasonably priced and the thing makes a good sound. Mine's black I think Fender makes it too. It's a P-bass ...

I posted this question over on the RME forum, but didn't get any response, so I'll give it a try here. Note I am a long time Sonar user, and have done all my mixing of recorded material using a mouse, creating envelops, etc. I have no interest in using H/W faders for mixing recordings.   Conversely, I have a significant need for H/W faders for live mixing. My goal is to use the ...

Updated to 8.52 on Win 7 64bit BCF2000 was locking up all my projects. I turned it off all was well. turn it back on it locks up sonar. Rebooted several times. That didn't help. I removed it from the control surface area and tried to readd. In the 64 bit sonar it won't add correctly, but when I go into 32 bit sonar it show the added control surface (that I tried to add in 64 bit sonar). I ...

Hi I'm using an iMac 3.06GHz Core2Duo OSX 10.5, Logic 9 and an Edirol UM2-2 USB MIDI interface. Recently I plugged in my Behringer BCF2000 control surface to another USB port, and whether as a consequence of this or not, the UM2-2 regularly goes AWOL. The bus power light is still on but in Audio Midi setup the device is greyed out. If I unplug and replug it (even in session, with ...

I'm running 8.5.1 Pro 64bit on Win7 64 I have BCF2000 and BCR2000 I use the BCF in Mackie mode.   Each unit works fine if only one is connected but if I connect both BCF and BCR at the same time they both fail like they're conflicting with each other.   I've read all the other threads about connecting multiple units, and yes I'd love to have 3 pairs of ...

I had a BCF2000 and I couldn't get it working, even following Blade's tutorials, and returned it to Americal Musical Supply.  However, after reading later threads and one from one user that got one that didn't work and got a 2nd one and it worked properly. I've ordered another from ZZounds today.  Hopefully this one will work OK.   The first one was recognized by Win 7, 64 bit and...

Here's a few updated pictures of my home space. I'm starting to do a lot of mixing at home, and just going into work to do final mixes. It makes sense for me, since the studio is about a half hour to 45 min drive away. I also have a small selection of mics here at home to do overdubs or what have you if needed. My current home set up is... Dual 1.8 G5 with 4 gigs of ram 32"...
