Hi, has anyone stayed at 'hotel puerto azul amadores' since it's re-opening in October after refurbishment. Reviews prior to October are pretty bad, but the photos post refurbishment tell a different story. I am arriving in puerto rico on boxing day and dont want a nasty surprise when I get there. Please help. Thank you.

We returned Sunday Nov 22nd from a week at the Azul. We attended a wedding and it was just wonderful. The weather was perfect and we have no complaints. We were in the Adults only building and stayed on the 4th floor. We had a view that was great!. The swim up would have been fun, but there is NO ocean view at that level. Reading about the different restaurants and bars on the Karisma website, but I’ve only read about the Mojito Lounge in reviews. Could someone plese send a detailed review and pictures of their wedding. My wedding is planned for Feb 12,2010. I have alot of questions and would like to hear as much as possible? I am very excited to be going to this hotel.
I would love to hear the pros and cons of the two resorts from someone knowledgeable about both. We are limited in options given we have a family of 5. El Cid seems so much cheaper than similar resorts with same star rating.... that it makes me nervous. we are traveling with kids ranging from 4-14! Thanks! Kim
