TMFTigger put the latest article from Stephen Bland about Aviva (AV.) over on the Value Shares Board. I realise some of our gang hold it in their HYPs, so in case you've missed it, here is the link. http://www.fool.co.uk/news/investing/company-comme nt/2009/12...

Going to contact the supplier and/or manufacturer about this, but... A few months ago the supplier sent me an Aviva meter to replace the Advantage meter I've had ever since diagnosis. I'm having trouble getting the meter to register. It may well be a batch of bad strips. There are some days when I will try 2, 3 or 4 strips and get nothing. Aviva has confirmed that he has already received £1500 in commission and it appears that he will receive 3.75% on any future contributions that I make. I’m planning to significantly ramp up ...

Hello, I am in need of some advice. I recently scrapped my old car under the government scrappage scheme and have been looking for some insurance. Being only 19 my quotes have been in the region of £1,100-£1,500. However, I did find that Aviva quoted me £963. My problem is that I don't know whether I should put Social, Domestic and Pleasure or Social, Domestic, Pleasure and Commuting. On the...

Hi Grateful for any advice regarding the recent changes to Yorkshire Building Society Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance. I received a letter from YBS last month informing of them switching insurance providers to Aviva. I'm not 100% sure on what are the vital changes and would like some feedback from the forum on whether or not I should stick with the changes or take out a new MPPI. I'm ...

I've just received a letter from Aviva, saying "earlier this year we experienced some technical problems, which led to us failing to collect your Direct Debit payment for your home insurance for £xxx.xx. Please accept our apologies for our mistake and let me assure you that your cover remains unaffected. To ensure your account remains up to date, we need to recover the missing payments." I ...
