Hi Guys, I noticed that there was a lot of interest in the announcement of Autodesk Smoke coming to the Mac and there were alot of unanswered questions. If you want to know more about it and how it can exist in your current Final Cut workflow (even with ProRes)... With the new Mac versions out there now, it sure would be nice to have a DWG reader for Mac. I own one but find it very clumsy compared to the Autodesk Windows version. PLEASE consider porting it over to Mac! Rick

What's the bottleneck/limiting factor for maximum throughput speed on the HDPro? Is it the aggregate speed of the drives, the RAID controller, or the caching algorithm (ASTT)? I'm just curious because Autodesk Smoke is coming to the Mac, and they're specifying a RAID capable of sustained 500MB/sec. throughput for dual-stream HD editing (1080i 10-bit RGB).
