My question, and I ask this seriously, is why the hell do Europeans and so many others copy American culture? It was the other way around not so very long ago. Why did Europe let its own cultures stagnate so that the young became enamored of American culture which, while shallow and tawdry, was vibrant? Now I am an American, and proud of the good things that means. Industry, drive, charity ...
