What the $* is the problem with the people on Audiogon?! I have never seen a collection of more pretentious, self-centered assholes in my life. Whenever I e-mail someone with a question, I get a smug, rude reply with my question usually not even being answered. Yesterday I e-mailed someone asking for a better picture of a flaw he described ...

The auction place has too much potential for buyer abuse so I am thinking about switching to A-Gon. I'm wondering what your experience on A-Gon as a seller has been? Not looking for a "that auction place" bash session. However, I am looking for a better selling experience. How about your Bartertown experience as a seller?

What do you think of it? Do you find the majority of things you look up have a good number of sample prices and trends over time, or are a lot of them pretty thin on data? Are there other similar services worth looking at?

The input selector for my arcam alpha 9 int amp gave out so I need a replacement. I m thinking of purchasing either the NAD C320BEE new or a lightly used Cambridge 640A v2 from Audiogon. They are basically the same price. BTW the speakers I have are an old pair of Boston Acoustic HD10. thanks.

I saw this cool wavy blue turntable mat in an Audiogon ad and thought it looked pretty cool. Anybody know where to get something like that? I'm not sure how to search for it (correct terms/brand, etc), but my quick searches turned up just basic colored mats or all black.

Hello I just picked up a RC1090 from Audiogon, the unit is in excellent condition and sounds very nice. I had an RC1070 before which always seemed a bit bright to me, the RC1090 is very smooth. Anyway the one small downer on the deal is that the seller failed to mention that the blue volume dial LED is not working. Has anyone has ever replaced an LED? I'm wondering if it might be ...

Up for sale is Stax SR-Lambda Signature. I bought this a few months ago and used it for prob less than 50 hours. The original owner kept it in really excellent condition; clean and dust free. I'd give it 9/10 on Audiogon scale. Comes with 15' pro bias extension cable. The pads on the Lambda Sig were recently replaced with black pads by the original owner I believe and the foam is still 100% ...

I am selling my original Headroom Home amplifier. Excellent condition: an 8 on the Audiogon scale. Note that this is not the newer curvy design, this is the older extruded square design. This amplifier was on Stereophile's recommended components list for a long time as both a headphone amp and a general usage preamp. Price: $225 including shipping and Paypal fees within the continental US...
