I am new to using DVD studio Pro 4. I created a menu with a video clip from one of the short films on the DVD. I set it as the asset for the dropzone using the Panes Rectangle Frosted Window 1. I have some avi movies with the double audio track. The first one is in my language, the second one the original one. Most of the times, quicktime correctly plays the first track... but sometimes with some other movies it (and so also frontrow) plays the second one... VLC, Mediacentral, softwares on my PC, etc play correctly always the first one. Can someone suggest me what's the issue...

I need to put finished audio mix into my timeline (1920x1080p,25 VBR, XDCAM, AppleProRes 422). In the bin imported AIF file (48, 16) shows exactly the same length as my video sequence. 01:18:41:01, to be precise. If I place a video track on the timeline, the audio comes along and is automatically locked with the video track. If I want to add a NEW audio track (recorded separately), there doesn't seem to be a way to lock that audio with the video track once it's synced. Or am I missing something? 2.33 GHz Intel ...

If you look for the ffdshow folder in the Start Menu, and launch Audio decoder settings, is the OSD option checked there? If that doesn't help, do the same for Video decoder settings. I am also having problems with the audio. The sound just seems to drop while people are talking. I first noticed it when MBR was on, and now I cannot hear much of what George Simonton is saying. FWIW, I have Dish Network. The problems with the audio cutting in and out is irritating to say the least.

What happen in VLC is that movie starting from cutting scene and not from the starting scene. Does it help if you go to Tools -> Preferences... (Show settings: All) Input/Codecs -> Access modules -> DVD with menus and untick Start directly in menu ?
