I have an audio MP3 CD that I'm trying to load onto my ipod through itunes, but it won't recognize my cd. I changed the preferences to ask me every time a cd is loaded, but nothing works. Then I completely reloaded itunes. Still doesn't work. Please help! Dell Inspiron E1505...

When I try to mount an audio CD I get these error messages (depending on how I write the command): Code: mount /dev/hda /mnt/dvd Can't read superblock mount -t iso9660 /dev/hda /mnt/dvd Wrong fstype mount -o nolock /dev/hda /mnt/dvd No such file or dir It works fine to mount a cd-rom but not an audio cd. Is it another filesystem for audio cds?

I have upgraded to a new 27" iMac. When I load a CD, the CDDB info appears in the iTunes window, but the icon on the desktop remains as "Audio CD", no info appears in the finder? Any thoughts on this? Henry 27" iMac ...

Can someone tell me how to burn Audio CD & DVD? I am trying with TOAST 10 titanium, but the encoding take long time. I burned .AVI movie to DVD+R But take long time to encoding. genau das mache ich ja. ausserdem habe ich mir jetzt ein kostenloses brennprogramm und einen koverter geladen, konvertiert und brennt alles super, spielt den mist trotzdem nicht auf der anlage... gleich schmeiß ich den ganzen mist einfach raus... oder brenne einfach nie wieder...

Look, even if there's a kernel module out there that will make it look like you can mount an audio CD, you can't. It has no filesystem, period. It's just raw data written to the disk. Mounting (last time I checked) implies the existence of a filesystem on the thing to be mounted.

I've been doing the same. I'm having a nice time. It's a great opportunity to discover forgotten CD's. I have a Sqeezebox classic and it is fun to find an album, push play on the computer and when it's over, no CD to put away. I am getting a Duet for Christmas. I will then be able to cheaply add modules so that I can play any CD in any system in the house from the Duet handheld remote....
