UPDATED Wed Aug 13 2008 12:33:30 I've seen several Audie Murphy westerns, and most of the time they are great to look at, with vibrant colors, good-looking locations and scenery, and well-directed (by such directors as Budd Boetticher, Ray Enright, Don Siegel, George Sherman, et al.). But it seems they are often hampered by script problems (too much unbelievability, overly ...

"Bet he walked with a limp!" Hummmm....well the wound he recieved as described in "To Hell and Back" might have helped produce a limp as well. When I see him riding a horse in westerns I have to wince.... When I first came to IMDB I looked him up to see what he might be doing, without knowing he died in a plane crash in the 70s. Audie Murphy is sometimes skipped as he became an actor ...

King Kamehameha, unified Hawaii as a brilliant general and threw a spear through a mountain. Audie Murphy. The man knows killin'. Super reflexes "bullet time", or danger sense? Uri Gellar, hey, he really could bend spoons. Doug Henning, faked his own death. MC Escher, can draw paintings that you can enter and the doors lead to different places. John Wayne and others may have won the war in films but then so did many British film stars. On the other hand Audie Murphy also did it in real life. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audie_Murphy This politically correct business has got out of hand. If you are making a film set in a period in the past you use the language of that day. If it means using words that are ...
