Has someone got a table of average attenuations versus 'as the crow flies' distances from an exchange? I know the parameters will vary according to the number of cable joints, general age and state of the copper or aluminium conductors etc. Would BT do any maintenance work if my attenuation was way above average? My modem Status: Connection Status Connected Upstream Rate (...

12MB service has been running squeaky clean... SNR of 12.5 and Attenuation of 29.... There was a noticeable hum on my phone line so I opened a trouble ticket (no DSL issues). The tech came out today and supposedly fixed the hum (notes on ticket said he switched a cable pair). Even though it is less noticeable, it is still there. When I came home, I checked my DSL... SNR is now 8.0 and ...

HI, Just wondered if my upstream attenuation should be fluctuating by 3-4dB ? I have lost about 100k over the past few weeks and noticed that the upstream attenuation fluctuates from 35 - 39 !! this isn't a time of day thing it can fluctuate that much if i reboot the router in minutes! This is on adsl2 .... i cant tell on adsl1 as my router stops at 31.5..... i have never noticed...

My APA went from 1.049 to 1.010 in just two days. I know the style has a short attenuation period, but this seems a little drastic. It was a 5.5 gallon batch with a .2 gallon 1.040 starter. I pitched at all the proper temps, so it seems everything went extremely well. I taste tested (as always) and it just has that grainy flavor which all my brews have at this point. It doesn't taste at ...

WLP410 Low attenuation? I'm on my 2nd batch of belgian white with WLP410, the Platinum series of belgian white yeast offered by White Labs. The website says attenuation is 70-75%. My first batch was an AG concoction that started at 1.046 and ended at just shy of 1.016, Giving attenuation in the 65% range. My ...

Is there or would there be a way to add attenuation to the received signal? I have a few clients that are up close to an AP and are in the -40's I can cut the transmit power down which is great and use a lesser DB antenna, I have 1 site I changed to the "B" antenna which is ok but now you are running the card with no antenna and is not in general a good practice. In all real life what I would ...
