I've seen an ST 1040 (I think that was the correct model) with monitor for around 20 bucks. Is it worth it, or is it junk ? Also, there didn't seem to be a power supply. What kind of PSU do you need to make them work ? I don't know much about those.

I grew up playing Civ on the Atari ST. And I loved it but thought it was too easy even on emperor. Reading these forums however it seems that the DOS version features much better AI. On mine it was rare for opponents to get even as far as conscription. It says something that when an AI actually played a good game it stuck in my memory. Maybe in about a dozen games out of hundreds (my brothers ...

Hi, Looking for an internal Atari 720k drive - don't really want to use a PC one as it means cutting a hole in my nice ST! I can provide my old single sided ST drive (needs new belt) as part payment. Based in London, UK Cheers Nick

Since I was 'aware' of the scene in the UK and some parts of western europe, I have often wondered what it was like in North America back in the day. I sometimes reminisce about those good old days of the late 80s and early 90s when only rich people had hard disks and if a game came on more than one 3.5" DSDD floppy then it was an epic. I was wondering if anyone here is old enough to ...

Hey gang, I've got this Atari ST w/ colour monitor, Notator software (dongle included) and a bunch of other software for it that's been sitting in storage for over a decade now. I'm moving next year and stuff's gotta go. I've been through several multitrack recorders since I stored it but I'm positive it was working fine and in excellent condition when I packed it away. It was mint when...

lolz. Well, it's quite odd, that's for sure. But it's combining sexual themes with one of the running manga I keep up with (One Piece, which is about the least sexual manga you'll find), so I thought I should at least watch it. >_>

Hi Nick I don't thnk you'll find an original 720k drive these days. I looked for a few weeks on eBay recently. Instead, I fitted a Sony MFP-920 in my STE and it works well. The only bit of case I needed to cut was the thin, r-shaped bit of plastic surrounding the old button. Then the new drive is easily accessible and looks fine, albeit not original. The drive needs some simple ...
