I have trained in both Modern Arnis and in Doce Pares systems. I originally trained in Doce Pares while living in the Philippines some 20+ years ago. Hello all from Northern California. My background is some Latosa Escrima and Sayoc Kali. I've posted mostly around knife related forums under the name 'Smoke' and have had the privilege of meeting folks from other FMA styles namely Modern Arnis, Villabrille Kali, Ilustrisimo & Lameco (Hi Capt. Well I do not know exactly what type of Kenpo you are talking about here, but Thundering Hammers from the Parker System is probably one of my favorites. I really love the way it flows and how well the two principles of back up mass and torque really go hand and hand while you devastate the attacker. Now the thing with integrating different arts into Kenpo is, in my opinion, fine ...
