Arnica is a supplement that reduces bruising and muscle soreness. It comes in sublingual and ointment form. I started taking it about a month into working out and it made a HUUUUUGE difference. I used to barely be able to walk after a leg day, but now I'm almost completely free of soreness. Does anybody else take Arnica/thoughts on taking Arnica? Links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

Someone suggested this awhile back (I forget who). I tried it on my elbow – it had a close personal encounter with a sharp rock yesterday. It hurt like crazy all yesterday. I put the arnica cream on it before I went to bed. This morning it is all swollen. It should hurt at least as bad if not worse than it did. No pain. None whatsoever. This is really weird. Amazed and grateful, Deb

( Think we went through this same question about a month ago.. The arnica is to start 2 days prior to surgery. The bromelain is started after surgery because when taken before it can act as a blood thinner. ,)

Looks like every PS has their own opinion on this one. Mrs Kat has advised me to take 2 (30 unit) tablets 3 times a day 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after! Good luck ....not long now. I have my pre op on the 13th of Jan and my op on the 20th. It's good having Xmas in the run up. Don't have much time to think about it! All the food around at this time doesn't help with the weight though!!!...

I rushed over to the nearest health food store and picked up a tube or Arnicare Arnica Cream. It isn't "THE Rub." I didn't see that. It says it has 7% arnica. I put it on with a band aid over it to prevent curious fingers from wiping it off. I hope it will help!
