I have this 1960 Ariens Sno Thro ,I can not find the owners/service/parts manuals. The reverse on this machine you need to pull the shift lever back towards the operator. It does not lockin and it usually will not work, is there an adjustment to get it to work properly?

Is there any way to get a repair manual for the Ariens Sno Thro 10m. I have an Ariens 11528LE which starts right up every time but as soon as i hit any snow the impeller and auger stop. We did get some very heavy wet snow in November. The auger and impeller seem to spin fine until they hit any resistance at all. Any help is appreciated.

This is an older machine, but works great, has optional electric starter, and tire chains. 4 stroke Runs like a champ. 4 speed forward self propelled and 1 speed reverse. Blower design is 2 stage to shoot snow as far as possible. Works great. $300 firm for members. PM for details. Located in South Denver.

I just purchased a new ariens pro32 snowblower. It has a briggs and stratton snow series (alumium sleeve version) 16.5ft/lb engine. The instructions said to change the oil after the first 2 hours and every 25 hours thereafter. The dealer ran it for a 20 minutes before delivering it to me to "make shure everything was ok". With an average of 115" (record of 192") of snow a year, you gotta have something other than a shovel! Absolutely everyone with any type of walkway or driveway around here has a snowblower. John Deere 111 with snowblower attchmt and chains. Also a 5 and 6hp 24in Ariens from the 70s/80s. Selling the smaller 5hp (in the back, can't see well)..It came with my house when I bought it. Works ...

How do I remove the blower housing on my HS40-55560L? I have removed all of the bolts I can find but the left side, as viewed from the starter side won't budge. This engine is on my 1989 Ariens snowthrower and I would like to be able to hook up the primer which is mounted on the blower housing.

I'm selling a 2007 EverRide Scorpion (stander) commercial mower. It's the FX model (fixed deck) and it's a 52" deck. If you're not familiar with this brand, EverRide is made by Ariens. This mower is like new. It only has 76 hours on it.

The web site,,,, the Ariens 1960s and 1970s Sno Thro info site,,,,,, There is a toy model shown this is the machine I have.And there is the actual machine model 10 m serial # 000635 This is not mine but I have one works great but no reverse. I will have to look and see if I can make the repair without a repair manual.

Cant advise you, but whatever you do, post a follow up please. My latest Ariens re-engine was a direct fit. All I had to do was drive the pulley closer to the engine so the pulley lined up.

Remove the belt cover and check the tension on the forward belt when engaged, is it tight. The key in the lower pulley could be sheared, you will need to split the machine to repair it.
