Is it necessary to use the virtual application package feature in SCCM if you are not going to stream the app-v applications from the distribution points? What benefits would there be to using this feature if we were not going to stream the applications? Can we just send out the package as a regular application packages? What would we lose if we did it that way?

Is it better to send my whole application including common app through mail service or doing it online. As I am seeing many of my friends doing it online, but I find it better to be mailed. But does have any risk or does the colleges prefer it online. Anyone who has mailed through postal help me........ does it really matter whether I am sending it by mail or online.

Hi All, I have created a new application package which is JabRef and this uses a Java Runtime to run. I have an existing package for Java Runtime. I prefer to download the smaller packages to cache because when they are off line they should still have their package since it is in the Cache. If you choose it to stream from the DP then offline machines will not access the file. We have a large amount of space on our drives so we don't worry about streaming over the network.
