I had a favorite appetizer at a favorite restaurant in Albany, NY which has now unfortunately re-imagined itself, but I'd like to re-create the dish. It was a portobello cap with brie baked in a puff pastry with a balsamic aioli. I am going to spend some time at my parents house for christmas and would like to make it--can't really test it out ahead of time since I live alone and eating the ...

I thought I would re-create an appetizer I made last night! This was the end cut, so not as rare as I served it last night!! The day before I made creme fraiche ( butter-milk and Heavy Creme ), to the creme fraishe I added prepared horseradish and caper berries. I agreed to bring a hot appetizer for treat day at work. We've got a full kitchen at work, with an oven, microwave & fridge, but I'd rather do prep work at home then heat/bake at work. Do any of you have suggestions for easy ones? I don't have a lot of time tomorrow evening to get them prepped, so fast is appreciated!

I want to bring an appetizer to a small party this weekend but it needs to be something I can make ahead and carry with me on the metro. A chip and dip would probably be the easiest but I'm looking for something really interesting or just plain really good tasting. Only restriction is that I would like it to be vegetarian since at least one friend there doesn't eat meat. I would love some ...

My mom wants me to make a party appetizer for Christmas. We should have three couples at her home. Any suggestions for something simple and inexpensive that I can make for an appetizer? I would like something that doesn't take a lot of time or effort to make but looks like it does. :) I would also like something that will stay fresh at room temperature and will be easy and fun to eat as well...
