Busy installing anodizing line at the shop. Want to make sure it's done right, this will make as much money as OWVI if we do it right. Still have my powder, sold some of that auction stock and have some more funds clearing in my new etrade account tomorrow. Christ I phoned them in Friday afternoon.

Recently noticed the anodizing on my Recon's Left Stanchion is heavily scuffed along with some gouging. Has anyone had this successfuly remedied through re-anodizing via a metal-platers, or is a new fork the only practical solution (i'd rather not, at the mo...) as the RockShox spares listing i've been looking at doesn't seem to show anything other than internals.

Remove all Advertisements Anybody know of a way to remove anodizing? My red anodized rims have faded to a horrid pink, I want to remove and restore to natural aluminum. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, can you powdercoat over something that's been anodized?

I'm looking for anyone who has had luck finding a powder coating that is close to or even similiar to gold anodizing? Looking to do a set of hubs. On the flipside. Anyone paid directly to have OEM hubs anodized? What'd it run you?

Boomba anodizing fading? Who has a boomba fuel rail, throttle body, motor mounts or ANYTHING boomba that is anodized red or black? Has your stuff faded? Looking into getting a red fuel rail & red motor mounts but I'll go with polished if it's likely that they're going to fade. I know I've heard of the black boomba stuff fading, but ...

These are basically the Stoptech 355s but they were sold by APR. The calipers are not painted but have black anodizing as the final finish. APR says that the caliper runs cooler if it were unpainted.. therfore these brakes are less about bling and more about just getting the job done. Kinda stealthy really. The Rotors and Hats are in great shape with no cracking - plenty of miles ...

I have a set of 16" front and rear purple wheels off of a Ninja 1000R. They will likely also work on the GPz bikes as well. They are straight, have the sprocket and brake carrier, front PM rotors, and are anodized purple. The anodizing is faded and would need to be redone. Looking for $500 or best offer for everything. Shoot me a PM or an email at ejlong (at) hotmail (dot) com....

Looking at my 150mm B&L barrel lens I see what may be the bare faint evidences of what may have been a staining or anodizing of the blades. Now they look basically slightly tarnished and a little too bright. I suspect that contrast is diminished, but what can you expect from a lens as old. My late model Fuji on the other hand has nice black blades that look almost coated in a respect. I was ...

"Hard Coating Anodizing: Hard coating anodizing is a great metal finish for aluminum. This outer coating allows the part to be protected from corrosion and deterioration. Hard coat anodizing enhances many desirable properties of aluminum. It improves electrical resistance, thermal conductivity, and provides the part with the hardness of steel."
