animal testing, I don't really have too much of a problem with it, though i maybe I should. I don't know much about what people think. Sometimes people ask redundant questions about straight edge and it makes me feel like hmmm i wonder if these people read about it on wikipedia, googled it, and then posted misconceptions about it on here. In the same vain I vaguely understand why ...

http://breakshearts.peta2.com/atbh-kit.aspx Everyone is against cruelty to animalsbut your friends and classmates probably don't know that every time they buy shampoo, deodorant, soap, and other everyday things, they may be paying for cruel, pointless tests on bunnies, rats, mice, and other animals who are in laboratories. It's easy to go cruelty-free, and PETA wants you to have ...

Hi I'm a freshman and for my speech class we are required to give a persuasive speech on any topic. I have chosen animal experimentation. For this speech we are required to have an expert interview. If you could answer some of these questions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time! 1.)Are you personally for or against animal experimentation? 2.)DO you think that there could ...

I have a persuasive speech due tomorrow on animal testing, and I am stuck on my outline. I have as my first point that animal testing is unreliable because animals react differently to drugs and stuff then human. Just like humans react differently from other humans, animals are the same case. I need one more point on why animal testing is unreliable besides this. I looked at a ton of websites, ...

Hello everyone. So recently, I have been studying alot about Animal Testing in Biology. I've always thought about this kind of thing, and I want to know if YOU think it's right? Animal Testing basically consists of coming up with cure's for diseases, and the terminally ill (Maybe to extend there life span, etc) They firstly test on a bunch of cells but the cells are not whole and ...
Just got the latest "The Vegetarian" mag and it came with a very environmentally unfriendly lump of junk mail. One of these was a catalogue run by Natural Collection for the Vegetarian Society. Natural Collection are now part of Ethical Super Store who have been supporting Cancer Research UK for ages. Not very vegetarian or ethical! jj

This doesn't deter me from purchasing products from these brands. I just bought like 3 mascaras today... Just because I don't care about this doesn't mean I don't care about anything. I still recycle, limit my use of water, carpool, etc. eta: And I do test makeup products with Allure and other testers often... Edited by Gumdrop92 - Today at 8:26pm

Ah back to the old threat to every debate under the sun. People are quite entitled to their own self fulfilling prophecies of doom and gloom. I choose to live my one and only life now.

tagging birds or turtles is hardly animal testing or can do a real harm as far as I know... but it is still human egocentric manipulation.. for me, it would be best to just leave them all alone.. we're not saving anything, we're destroying everything... but i understand why people tend to look after some animals when the rest of the population is just seeking another "stomach adventure" ...

I don't shave my underarms and use only burt's bees products. Wait, what? My super skinny vegan extra soy saiyan hyper galactic fizzy cappucino shot mocha latte was made with sterile products that protect against Leprosy which was ...

to everyone who said they were totally ok with it for medical reasons, please watch the story of britches ~ A baby Monkey See, this is what I meant about not housing and caring for them properly! Animals need love and affection just as we do. Including mice. I've thought about taking my Vet Tech degree to the next level, and give the proper care for animals like this, or in ...

surfbetty Some really interesting points there. I am happy to see that most of you guys are for ethically controlled testing. As for cosmetic testing, I think it is wrong as it doesn't really benefit anyone in a massive way. Besides, The Body Shop have been making cosmetics for years WITHOUT having need of animal testing, so why can't other manufacturers follow suit? Probably because of ...
