Please excuse my hostility, but I'm mad as hell.  I had surgery on the west coast and had no problem getting an anesthesiologist to do the case. I do not want an AA or CRNA doing my anesthesia. I recently moved to the east coast (PA) and unfortunately need more surgery; I have been unable to find any place (hospital or surgicenter) that will provide an anesthesiologist 1:1.  Every place says that...

Damn. I thought he was just a general physician. Anesthesiologist >>>>>>>>> General Physician. If you're looking for sympathy, it's in the dictionary between sh!t & syphilis.

What types are there, and what is the best choice so that i can spend the most amount of time with my family? Also what classes should i take in high school? my son had surgery on his feet and I just got the insurance claim summary in the mail. The surgeon charged $2700 total. Blue Cross/Blue Shield is only allowing $350. THIS was REAL surgery - in a real operating room with a real anesthesiologist (and a few nurses). It took about an hour. How in the world could they justify giving the doc only $350??
