I was diagnosed with anemia just before I started medication. When my doctor told me this, I asked whether I should take iron tablets and he barked 'NO!' at me, and left it there. I'm almost 100% sure I'm developing anemia, but the symptoms have only been appearing for a week or so. Is it possible to correct my symptoms with iron-rich foods and supplements? I REALLY don't want to go to the doctor, and I was wondering if it's too late to correct iron defficiency.

Hi I have been diagnosed with anemia (results from my 28 week bloods) and have been prescribed with Iron Tablets Ferrous Fumarate?? My question is - Do I have to take these or can I just add loads more Iron into my diet to try and combat this.. My husband has had Acid Reflux for 35 years. He was put on Nexium (has tried other meds) which definately takes care of the heartburn. After at least 5 years on Nexium he has come up with anemia (we don't know that they are connected). Has anyone else had this experience? Have you found a solution and if so, what? Hey Guys! Does anybody know anything about VAZHAPOO VADAKAM pills (Siddha medicine) provided by Santhigiri Ayurveda & Siddha Vaidyasala? Thanks for all of your replies ladies really helps - Ive sent the OH to get the prescription for me so will start taking today Ive woke up really drained, lethargic and a banging headache wondering if this is because of my low iron levels so im going to just take them and see Thanks again xx
