Hey everyone, I have a (scavenged) X2 based setup - consisting of Corsair 2GB DDR2, 3800+ CPU, 640mb 8800 GTS and Asus M2N-SLI motherboard. This is all housed in a really old beaten and bruised Lian Li PC60 which has 3 fans installed - all facing outwards (exhaust) fans - which is probably my first mistake. Powered by a 600W StealthStream OCZ PSU. The front two fans are controlled ...

And are you bunging the heating on as a result? It's 13 degrees according to the thermometer, the heating isn't on and that's the way it's staying! I've got a T shirt and jumper on, and that's doing the trick for now, how about you? Do you have a set point that you bang up the thermostat? If I go out for a walk on a nice, cold, crisp evening, you can't help but see in some ...

Hi everybody,

I just broke my floor tom’s head and I think it’s because it’s a little bit cold in my garage. The temperature is about 17°C. My question is: "What is the best temperature to be sure not to break the skin and to maximise the performance?

Also, I have to change my floor tom’s skin and I think I'm going to change all my heads except my bass drum (Evans Emad clear ...

Does anyone know where the thermometer is located? It doesn't appear to mention it in the manual. It only seems to be accurate first thing in the morning. My other car is accurate as long as the vehicle is moving above 20 mph (and not getting heat soaked with engine heat) but the F-150 seems to always read high once the engine is warm, even if I keep it moving. I ...

if you allow the ambient temperature to increase by say 10 degrees would the component temperature increase be the same, or would it simply mean things get warmer but not be 10degrees?

Today for some odd reason my ambient temperature started reading about 15 degrees lower then it actually is. It was working fine up until today which is odd. I did wash and polish the car today..not sure if that could have affected it somehow but I doubt it. Any ideas? Unless it fixes itself I may have to bring it in

Do you mean your idle went from 44 to 65, or just that the cpu temp was at 65C while playing the game... 65C for a cpu is nothing, quite cool :P, and 75C for a 8800GTS 640 is just right too, thoses puppy's can high 85-90 with no problem at all. I have trouble believing your ambient temps are 65C in the case unless the case is about the size of a matchbox. Thinking about it, if the ...

Thanks everyone for the comments! You know I am a nerd... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2511/4173473661_5dd 6b236f2_o.jpg Looks like it reached near steady state after about 25 minutes or so in the cold. The ambient temperature was an approximation, but it looks fairly close as the camera temperature trends down at about the same rate ambient was falling. Eric
