The second parameter to alignf() in allocate_resource() must reflect what new resource is attempted to be allocated, else functions like pcibios_align_resource() (at least on x86) or pcmcia_align() can't work correctly. Commit 1e5ad9679016275d422e36b12a98b0927d76f556 broke this by setting the "new" resource until we're about to return success. To keep the resource untouched ...

Installed Windows 7 to my Parallels 5.0 setup earlier tonight. Everything went well, but for some strange reason, I'm unable to allocate more than 1Gb of RAM to Windows. We have tried to use libgc (http://developers.sun.com/solaris/articles/libgc. html) on Solaris to solve memory fragmentation problem in our product. It did work well for low volume tests. Memory drop was seen. But when subjected to heavy load, it crashes the server with 'Can't allocate header' error. Do any have an idea on what to do in such situations ?

That's correct. You can allocate funds before they're received, on anticipation that they will be received. They never said they had the funds. They did later state that some shares had been repurchased, however, but without giving the source of the monies used.
