The second parameter to alignf() in allocate_resource() must reflect what new resource is attempted to be allocated, else functions like pcibios_align_resource() (at least on x86) or pcmcia_align() can't work correctly. Commit 1e5ad9679016275d422e36b12a98b0927d76f556 broke this by setting the "new" resource until we're about to return success. To keep the resource untouched ...

Installed Windows 7 to my Parallels 5.0 setup earlier tonight. Everything went well, but for some strange reason, I'm unable to allocate more than 1Gb of RAM to Windows. My Mac has 4gigs of RAM and I would ideally like to allocate 2gigs to my Windows VM (I won't be using it that often) but when I open the Memory pane of the Virtual Machine Configuration panel, I'm unable to move the slider ...

We have tried to use libgc (http://developers.sun.com/solaris/articles/libgc. html) on Solaris to solve memory fragmentation problem in our product. It did work well for low volume tests. Memory drop was seen. But when subjected to heavy load, it crashes the server with 'Can't allocate header' error. Do any have an idea on what to do in such situations ?

That's correct. You can allocate funds before they're received, on anticipation that they will be received. They never said they had the funds. They did later state that some shares had been repurchased, however, but without giving the source of the monies used.

When I try to connect to ANY server, the game crashes with the engine error: Could not allocate server IP port. I have tried verifying game files and using -autoconfig in launch, as well as attempting to change the +clientport 270XX to something else, none of which have worked. (Yes, I know how to use the search function. Any existing threads suggest using +clientport 270XX and this has not...

We've experienced a long standing bug when quickly switching from ad-hoc to managed mode on a hardware using a Libertas chipset. The effect is that after a number of mode transistions (sometimes as few as two sufficed), the kernel will oops at very strange locations, mostly in something like __kmem_alloc(). While the root cause turned out to be an issue with the wpa-...

I am working on 10.2.0.3 Oracle db on Windows 2003 32-bit cluster. Oracle failsafe has been installed too. The machine has 32G memory but since it is a 32 bit OS for oracle to make use of it I have used manual memory management with indirect data buffers. java_pool_size=4194304 large_pool_size=64194304 shared_pool_size=663577856 streams_pool_size=...
