Hey what do you guys think of this? Would this work to play my kit through with 480 watt yamaha cabinets? I can't seem to find any specks on power output. Maybe I'm looking at the whole thing wrong. Do mixers have a wattage output? http://www.alesis.com/imultimix8usb

I have recently been getting back into home recording. I have an Alesis Photon 25 USB MIDI controller that I have been trying to use in Reaper. Reapr will not recognize the controller in the MIDI Device set-up under preferences. When I go into Cubase LE the device shows up with no problem. I also plugged in a Casio keyboard that is USB and it does show up in Reaper. Is there any known ...

I have created an "aggregate device" selecting "Alesis" and "Built in line out" I have added this as the "driver" in Audio>Audio hardware and drivers>Drivers>Core Audio (enabled and set to created aggregate device). Hi, while I'm waiting to find the real mixer and EQ that I want I decided to settle on the new Alesis Multimix 8 Line mixer ( not usb/firewire). When I input MIDI using the staff view it is *loud*. When I play MIDI on my synth (physical device) and record it in Sonar 7 SE (Alesis HD6 via Edirol UA-101) it is not loud enough. Is there another way around it apart from using a volume envelope to make it all be at the same volume?...

Looking at heads for my Alesis DM5 Pro here now that I know it's possible to use any 8" batter head. Looking at Evans to compensate for my often hard hitting but concerned with the sensitivity for my soft snare action. I know alot of people use Remo also. But this isnt an acoustic kit, so Im going to ask what head is best for my kit? Thanks
