Can someone explain what exactly cabin AC recirculation fans do and how are they connected to the packs manifold and how is cabin air mixed with air from packs. I read that these fans are used to lower packs demand for bleed air. The thing is that I understand how air cycle machine in each pack works, but I also assume that not only pressurization, fresh air supply and cooling (at high OAT) ...

Jesus! Did he ever rip into Brian in that last episode or what?? Holy s_hit, I was almost scared of him! I thought that it was really almost out of character for him...I mean, Quagmire wasn't even this mad that time Peter stole gas out of his airliner, and the jet crashd while Quagmire was flying it. Quag was mad for like five seconds and then he was like, eh okay so time for a new job. ...

Hello everyone, Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. My question is what is the percentage, of the total lift, produced by the fuselage of a typical jet airliner e.g 737, 757. Couldn't find anything on the web

A man boards an airliner, takes his seat, and is surprised to find a large purple parrot in the seat next to him. The aircraft takes off and a pretty flight attendant walks down the aisle past the man and his seat mate. "Hey, bitch," says the parrot, "bring me a whiskey and soda, and make it snappy!" The FA looks annoyed, but walks on. A minute later, she walks back up the ...

What would happen to a large airliner, like a 747, if its tail section sheared off while cruising at 30,000 feet? Would it instantly drop out of the sky? Would it be thrown into a flat spin? Would it nose down and lose altitude? Would it break up? How would its flying characteristics be affected? Would it be survivable? Any and all information much appreciated! I'm writing a book. cheers ...
