As far as naming the combined airline. It will flow like this. The will take "Continental" out of Continental Airlines and "Airlines" out of Untied...I mean United Airlines and thus the new airline will be called Continental Airlines. That is if we are dumb enough to take a cancer called United.

SYD-JFK-SYD in J class. Qantas still use 747s on this route. New skybed layout is in place. Noisy aircraft, but noise cancelling headsets help to reduce the sound. Different crew on each leg.   Not me. I've travelled on Qantas, Air New Zealand, Singapore airlines, Cathay Pacific, South African Airlines, Kenyan Airways, Pacific Blue and all have horrible food!!
