So when I restart my computer, my internet works flawlessly. However, if I sleep my Macbook, when I wake it up, it is still connected to my home network with a very strong signal, but the internet won't work unless I restart the computer. I have a first generation Macbook from 2006 running 10.4.11. Any suggestions or similar experiences? Is there a way to reboot the Airport card without ...

Hi! I have just bought the new macbook ( my first mac) and, initially, i configured my wireless connection with no problems. After a few hours though the icon of airport wi-fi signalled that the airport is deactivated. I restarted the computer but now the only message is that the card is not installed at all. But it is integrated?!?! I looked at the "system profiler" and under network...

On opening the CD tray on our eMac to install and connect an Airport card, I discovered that there is no wire to connect to the card! Am I missing something? Is the wire hidden somewhere in the vicinity? I'm feeling dumb at having bought an Airport card and cannot use it! Did any eMac models necessarily not come prepared for Airport Card connection? The slot for the card is there, and ...

Hi, hopefully someone can advise on this. I have an original Apple Airport card installed in my Cube, but it appears to be having issues connecting to our wireless network? The network name comes up in the drop down, I put in the correct pw but it has errors connecting? It is set-up as a WPA secured network. I have checked the card fitting, the antenna and orange connecting cable and I ...

I'm fairly certain my AirPort Extreme antena has a connection problem through my PowerBook G4's screen hinge as my reception comes and goes AND my screen flickers when I move the screen/top even the slightest bit. So, 1. if I use a cardbus wi-fi card (like the Sonnet Aria Extreme G54-CB), and my current AirPort Extreme has sketchy reception due to the (probable) problem through the ...

funny you should say that, I'm planning on moving the Cube downstairs to the front room to go next to the HiFi so that I could connect up and play iTunes/Spotify through it, and was thinking that the airport express could be a good solution…

The wire is for the built-in antenna that connects to the airport card, your card will function without it connected, but it will have a significantly lower range. The wire is probably hiding somewhere around the CD drive. You can take off the cover and should be able to reposition the cable. Don't worry, this is quite easy. - First, disconnect the power. - Remove the airport ...
The only card that can be used internally in a Tibook is the original Airport 802.11b card, which is now antiquated and . If yours works, there's no point in replacing it with another; the signal strength you are receiving depends on the antenna, not the card. Some people with Tibooks find that they get much better reception using a third-party wireless card in the PCMCIA slot ...

Resetting PRAM solved the problem. It may not work for everyone, but give it a whirl if you're having this problem. Quad Core Xeon Mac Pro; 13" MacBook (late 2008); iPhone 3G S Mac OS X (10.6.2)...
