I have flown three times since Christmas. Security seemed a bit tighter, but nowhere near the level that the alarmist media would have you think. I got pulled aside in Chicago and my carry on was swabbed for bomb traces because I had a ton of books in it (they're very dense and don't scan well). I do not think that we have body scanners in place in the States, that's only in Amsterdam. No one ...

The solution is quite simple. If you're not satisfied with your flying experiences, don't fly anymore. Drive to all of your distant meetings, etc. See how long it is before you're begging to be let on another flight. You want to be safe, yet you're not willing to do what's required to ensure it. You want great service, yet you show no brand loyalty and jump ship to the airline that offers a $2 ...

Anybody taken a flight lately? Since the Christmas terrorist attempt? How bad were the heightened security measures? So how does this crap happen? He paid CASH for a ONE WAY TICKET and has NO LUGGAGE. Any two of those should get you an extra security check, but all three? And then they didn't even do a cross-check to find that he was already on one of the watch lists? WTF is wrong with the ...

I think it's time to pass stricter rules for air travel. How about everyone who wants to fly must be individually quarantined twenty four hours in advance. No food just water and then a full body cavity search before bording! Absolutely no carry ons and no luggage either! Rules only apply to passengers departing from the USA, all other passenegers around the world can do whatever they want.

I've got to travel to Thailand on 3rd Jan. Has anyone travelled by air since the Dec 25 incident in the USA? How has this affected MAS/Thai Air/KLIA security in terms of allowed hand-carried baggage on board? Essentially, I'm wondering if my camera and lenses will be allowed in my hand-carried KATA bag...or do I have to check them in as checked baggage, in which case, I might as well not ...

I travel quite a bit, well, less now than in the past few years, but there will still be some international travel. With all the hub bub of the recent bomb attempt, they are planning on using body scanners in the airports to try and SEE things? on your body plus your body, ugh....scary, right away I related that to the old movie with Arnold, Total Recall , where when he ran ...

Since 9/11 US domestic travel has been made safer.....even if the searching of some citizens seems ridiculous but so far there have been no disasters..... International travel is a different story perhaps. There are various reasons for this. The Detroit incident points out some of the problems. Security at some airports is lax (Lagos, Nigeria) allowed this guy to board the plane....lots ...
